Winter resort Uzana in Bulgaria is located at the foot of Ispolin peak (1524 m) in Central Balkan National Park. It consists of huge meadows surrounded by forest. The town of Hissar is proud with its 1000 decares of lawns and park areas planted with over 300 different kinds of vegetation. All of the sanatoriums, hotels and villas in town have a park attached to them. The “Momina Salza” park takes up the area around mineral spring Momina Salza. This is the oldest park in the town of Hissar. It is situated on several different levels. There is a mineral water pavilion in the park. The beautiful fountain with the girl is also located here.

17 km to the north of the town of Belitsa is situated the Semkovo mountain resort. It’s situated south of the main ridges of the Rila Mountains, nestling in a wide field among pine forests.

There are numerous hotels, holiday houses, villas. The resort complex Semkovo includes the Rila hotel, Bor hotel, the “Semkovo” chalet, holiday houses of universities, and several ski track and rope lines. During the winter season, the tourists from the nearest town of Belitsa arrive at the complex by sledge. Semkovo is a starting point for marked tourist routes to Vapski circus and the Vapski lakes (2 hours 30 min walk), Polejanski circus and the Dry Lake which are one hour walk, Skalishki circus and Skalishki lakes – 2.30 hours walk.
