Novi Pazar is a town in northeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Shumen District and it is close to the towns of Kaspichan and Pliska. The town is the center of Novi Pazar municipality.
The territory of the municipality is naturally situated in a picturesque hollow.
The town of Novi Pazar is an important transport centre.
It is 150 km from Rousse(the biggest Bulgarian town on the Danube), 25 km from the town of Shumen and 70 km from Varna (called the coastal capital of Bulgaria).
