The town of Nova Zagora lies 30km to the southwest of Sliven, on the main road from Sofia to Bourgas.
Numerous men-made hillocks of different periods are the biggest archeological sight in area surrounding Nova Zagora.
It was formed by the consecutive construction of prehistorical settlements one over the other and is one of the biggest hillock settlements in Bulgaria.
