Morovitsa Cave
The Morovitsa cave is located near to the village of Glojene, Teteven region. The cave is one of the biggest caves of Bulgaria. The cave is 3 250 meters long and – 150 deep.
There are a lot of bats species in the cave. In the immediate proximity of the cave is located the Glojen monastery.
There are two marked eco-pats: the first starts from the village of Glojene to Morovitsa cave and the second one begins from the cave to the Glojene Monastery.
Primitive tools from the Late Palaeolithic, which are discovered in the cave, are now on exhibit in the Teteven Historical museum.
